賢者は星を追う。

 諸天の中に、時に低く、時に大きく、

時にすさまじく輝く一つの星を。

 だが、その星に近づけば近づくほど

 その輝きは 刻々と小さくなり、

 ついに賢者は見いだすのだ――

 小さな宿屋の飼い葉おけに、ひっそりと ともる灯を。

 人は、天の高みの理（ことわり）を知るまでは、

 それが いかにすばらしいものかに気づかない。
