“尊敬”がなければ、愛は失われます。

“思いやり”がなければ、愛は退屈なものです。

“誠実さ”がなければ、愛は不幸になります。

“信頼”がなければ、愛は移ろうのです。

このように、愛をまことの愛たらしめるものは、“尊敬”、“思いやり”、“誠実さ”、”信頼”の4つです。これらのない愛は、もはや愛ではありません。（訳者）

Without respect, love is lost.

Without caring, love is boring.

Without honesty, love is unhappy.

Without trust, love is unstable.
