《傘に例えれば…》　“傘”は、雨をとどめることはできませんが、雨の中でも立たせてくれます。神様への“信頼”は、成功をもたらすことはないかもしれませんが、人生のあらゆる困難に立ち向かう力を与えてくれます。

Umbrella can’t stop the rain but can make us stand in rain.

Confidence may not bring success but gives us power to face any challenge in life.

《音楽に例えれば…》　人生は音楽のようなものです。高い音もあれば低い音もあります。その音がどんなに高くても、あるいは低くても、“神様に音程を合わせる”ようになさい。そうすれば、あなたが奏でる人生の音楽で、音程を外してしまうことは決してありません。

Life is like music. It has high notes and low notes. No matatter how

high or low your notes may be, keep in tune with God and you’ll never go out of tune in the music of life.

《所信表明に例えれば…》　私たちが口にできる最も謙遜な言明は、「神様がいなければ、私は無きに等しいもの（無価値、無意味、無存在）です」ということ。そして最も力強い言明は、「神様が共におられれば、私はどんなことでもできる」ということです。（訳者注:　ピリピ4:13）
