◆へりくだりの神◆

【Ⅰコリント1:23】 しかし、私たちは十字架につけられたキリストを宣べ伝えるのです。ユダヤ人にとってはつまずき、異邦人にとっては愚かでしょう…。

パウロはここで、神様は、十字架の“愚かさ”を通して人類を救う道を選ばれたと書いています。

【Ⅰコリント1:27,28】 しかし神は、知恵ある者をはずかしめるために、この世の愚かな者を選び、強い者をはずかしめるために、この世の弱い者を選ばれたのです。

また、この世の取るに足りない者や見下されている者を、神は選ばれました。すなわち、有るものをない者のようにするため、無に等しいものを選ばれたのです。

無限の知恵と力そのものであられる、いと高きところにおられる神が、この世の目から見れば“愚か”と思われる救いの道を備えなければならなかったという事実は、”聖なるへりくだり”ということを考えずしては、理解することができません。「神は“へりくだりの神”です」と言うことは、いかに当を得ているでしょうか。（マデレン・ワー）

From the Bible in 1 Cor 1:23), Paul writes that God chose to save humanity through "foolishness" of the Cross. “..but God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong, God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are”

(Vvs 27-28).

The fact that the Most High God, who is Infinite Wisdom and Power, should make the way of salvation "foolish" in the eyes of the world is impossible to comprehend apart from the Divine Humility. How correct in saying that GOD IS HUMILITY!
