“自由”というのは全体的に考えるべき事柄です。ある人が、たとえ私と同じように信じ、考えていないとしても、自由であることを否定されているとしたら、私は自由を楽しむことはできません。同時にまた、“自由”というのは、お互いの尊敬と、愛と、人間性の尊厳の境界を踏み越えることによって、それぞれの人の人生を、荒々しく足蹴にして歩み去ることでもありません。
