◆愛は聖霊の力◆

愛は、善と、光のうちにあることを追い求める人々にとっては､蜂蜜のように甘いものです。けれども、愛は、暗闇を楽しみ、悪を実行する人々にとっては、苦々しく、大いなる破壊力を持つものとなります。ペンテコステ派である私にとっては、無条件の愛は、聖霊のしるしです。人が､イエス様のために、また愛する人々のために自らの命を危険にさらし、世界の最も危険なところに出ていき、貧しい人々や抑圧されている人々のために薬を提供するとき、その人は、裕福な西欧社会の空調完備の教会で、異言によって祈る人よりも、もっと聖霊に満たされているのです！
愛は力であり、広大で、ほとんど御することができないほどの力です。私は、イエス様が「使徒の働き」1章で言われた力は、まさにその愛だと考えています。無条件の愛を経験することは、私たちに、なしえないことをさせます。愛は、私たちを、愛することのできなかった人に仕えさせます。行くことのできなかったところに行かせ、最も困難な仕事をさせます。愛は決して絶えることがありません。そして愛は、聖霊によって与えられるのです。この愛は、“力”です。

Love is as sweet as honey for those who pursue goodness and belong to light, but love is bitter and has great destructive force for to those who enjoy darkness and practice evil. For me as a Pentecostal, unconditional Love is the sign of the Holy Spirit. When a person risks his or her life for the sake of Jesus and for the love of his or her fellow humans and chooses to go to the most dangerous areas in the world and distribute medicine for the poor and oppressed, he or she is as much filled with Holy Spirit as the one who is praying in tongues in a fully air-conditioned church in the affluent West!
 Love is a force, a vast and almost untamable power. I realize that the power Jesus spoke about in Acts chapter one is that of love. The experience of unconditional love makes us do things that we were incapable of doing. Love moves us to serve people that we were unable to love, to go places we were unable to go and do the hardest jobs. Love never fails, and this love is given to by the Holy Spirit. This love is Power.
