◆聖書、”本命”の読み方◆

聖書の読み方に関して、私たちクリスチャンの多くは、一つの問題を持っています。私たちは、聖書のある部分が自分にぴったりだとそこを取り上げ、他の部分が自分の聞きたいことにそっていないと、無視してしまうことです。

私たちは、聖書の一節一節、全てに従うか、全く従わないかのどちらかでなければならないのです。

けれども、ここに“第三の道”があります。“恵みの道”に立って、その真ん中にイエス・キリストを置いて、聖書の全てを選ぶことです。そのときにのみ、聖書は“生きたもの”になるのです。

There is a problem with lot of us Christians: we take one part of the Bible when it suits us and ignore other parts when they are not aligned with what we want to hear. We either have to follow the entire bible verse by verse, or not to follow it at all. However, there is a third way; choosing for scriptures in the path of grace, with Jesus Christ in its very center. Only then, the scriptures will become alive. --Samuel C. Lee
