◆無罪放免のありがたさ◆

イエス・キリストは私たちの罰を負ってくださった。それゆえ神は、私の代わりにキリストが貴んだ律法の要求を､私の手から求められることは決してない。さもなければ天において不法が行われることになる。それは到底神の認めるところではない。罪赦された者が失われることが不可能なのは、キリストが失われることがありえないのと同じだ。なぜならキリストは、罪びとたちの保証人であられるからである。

Jesus Christ bore our punishment, and God will never require at my hands the fulfillment of that law which Christ has honoured in my stead; for then would there be injustice in heaven: and that be far from God. It is no more possible for a pardoned man to be lost than for Christ to be lost, because Christ is the sinners surety.
