言葉に表せないほどのあわれみよ！　地獄から抜け出しても、あまりに邪悪で どす黒く、神が白く洗ってくださることのできない罪人はない。穴から抜け出しても、あまりに罪深くて、神が救うことができず、救う気にもなれない人間もいない。なんとなれば、神はこの驚くべき事実を宣言なさっておられるからだ。「私が、この私が、あなたの罪とがを消し去るのだ。」と――。

Inutterable mercy! There is no sinner out of hell so black but that God can wash him white. There is not out of the pit one so guilty that God is not able and willing to forgive him; for he declares the wondrous fact-”I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions.”
