そこに病はなく、癒やしの香膏があるだけ。

 

そこに嵐はなく、ほどなく静けさがきっと訪れよう。

 

そこに癒やされることなき傷心の心はない。

 

平安のうちに静められざる、耳障りな地上の喧騒もない。

 

安息を、かつてない嘆き悲しみよりも深く大いなる安息を

 

見いだすことなき永遠の別れもない。

 

やがて賛美の歌に代わることなき痛切な嘆きの声もない。

 

間もなく光が打ち破ることなき暗闇もない。

 

消えることのない苦しみを抱えた“苦しみ人”もいない。

 

解放を知ることのない捕らわれ人もいない。

 

見返りを持たぬ地上の悲しみもまたありはしない。

 

 

 

もし私たちが、主を信じて待ちさえするならば――。

 No deep bereavement but shall find relief —

 No prisoner who may not find release;
