古きものは、まっさらに新しい多くのものより美しい…

 

なぜなら、それらは、

 

かつての自分と関わる良き思い出を運んでくれるから。

レースで束ねられたラブレターは

 

新しいものでは代用できない

 

懐かしい感情をよみがえらせてくれる

 

 

 

ベビーシューズ、テディ―ベア、

 

祖母が着けていた指輪は、

 

「二度と帰らぬ日々」と記された

 

あのドアの向こうに待っている宝物。

 

 

 

古きものは、日を追うごとに、

 

より美しく、よりかけがえのないものになっていく。

 

なぜなら、それらは、

 

私たちが“昨日”植えた花々だから――。
