◆待つのです◆

 

もし私が、愛する人のために、ただ1つのメッセージを、

 

1つの単純な言葉を残すとしたら、それはこうです。

 

「ああ、兄弟よ、姉妹よ、友よ、

 

人生に何があっても、神様がそこに何を送られようとも、

 

雲が上空を飛ぶように、あるいはゆっくりと覆いかぶさろうとも、

 

心して、待つのです！

 

 

 

絶望が、あなたの足元で暗く絡み合っているかもしれない。

 

あなたの信仰は弱くかすれ、

 

かつてはすばらしく、快かった希望は失われてしまっても、

 

――突然、丘の上に、

 

天の窓枠の上に置かれた天のランプが、

 

あなたのために光り輝き、行くべき道を示してくれます。

 

それはなんと鮮やかなことでしょう。

 

 

 

私は暗闇の中を待ち続け、

 

漆黒の空に、一つの星が昇るのを見たのです。

 

度重なる闇は、いまだ私をつまずかせることはできません。

 

私は学んだのです―神様は、ご自身のランプに灯をともすことを、

 

決してお忘れになることはないのだと。

 

私たちがそれを“待ち続けて”いる限り――

 

灯はともされるのです！

How well I know!

 

For I have waited through the dark and I

 

 Have seen a star rise in the blackest sky,

 

 Repeatedly… it has not failed me yet.

 

 And I have learned... God never will forget

 

 To light His lamp. If we but wait for it—

 

It will be lit!
