祈りのゴールは“神の耳”である。そのゴールは、忍耐強く、継続的に、途絶えることなく神を待ち望むことによって、私たちの心を神に注ぎだすことによって、そして、私たちに神がお話しになれるよう心を開くことによって、初めて達成される。

神は、計画とか、戦略とか、組織とか、そういったたぐいのものに対して“登場”なさることはない。神は人々に――よりいっそう神を乞い求める人々、祈る人々にご自身を現されるのだ。

人々に神を語るのは大切なことだが、神に人々のことを語るのもまた、それ以上に大切なことだ。

The goal of prayer is the ear of God, a goal that can only be reached by patient and continued and continuous waiting upon Him, pouring out our heart to Him and permitting Him to speak to us.

God does not come on plans, strategies and machinery as such but on people – people with a desire for more of God, people who pray.

Talking to men for God is a great thing but talking to God for men is greater still.
