自分を聖めようとしていろいろ苦闘しても、繰り返し失敗する他なかった人は、もはや自分の魂をなんとかしようと“いじくり回す”のはやめて、“完全なるお方”に目を転じたときに、本当の“解放”を体験するであろう。彼がキリストを見続けている間に、長い間、なんとかやろうと試みてきたまさにそのことが、自分の中でひとりでにできているのだ。そのとき彼の中で、自分がどうすべきかを考え、それを行うために働かれるのは、神なのである。
