愛する主よ、

(マタイ 16:26) 「人は、たとい全世界を手に入れても、まことのいのちを損じたら、何の得がありましょう。そのいのちを買い戻すのには、人はいったい何を差し出せばよいでしょう。」

愛する主よ、この真理を熟慮するために、しばしば、注意深く教えてください。すなわち、もし私が全世界を手に入れて、あなたを失うならば、終わりには、私は全てを失うことになるのだということを。けれども、もし私が全世界を失っても、あなたを得るならば、終わりには、私が失うものは何もないのだということを――。
