神の強さが私を導いてくださいますように。

神の力が私をお守りくださいますように。

神の知恵が私を教えてくださいますように。

神のみ手が私をお護（まも）りくださいますように。

神の道が私をお導きくださいますように、

神の盾が私をお衛（まも）りくださいますように。

神の天使が、悪しきサタンの罠から

私を見張っていてくださいますように。

 

キリストが我らと共にありますように！

キリストが我らの前におられますように！

キリストが我らの内におられますように。

キリストが全ての全てであられますように！

 

主よ、あなたの恵みが、どんなときも我らの上にありますように。

ああ主よ、この日も、またいついつまでも。

【訳注】①原文は全てus「我ら」ですが、自分の祈りとなるよう、第1連は「私」と訳しました。

②preserveプリザーヴ⇒「守る」、protectプロテクト⇒「護る」、defendデフェンド⇒「衛る」 guardガード⇒「見張る/守る」。「まもる」は最初の「守る」以外は全て表外字ですが、異なる原文に対し、ともかく訳文も、音は同じながら異なる漢字を用いて意味を伝えてみました。漢字の持つ“強み”ですね。

 

May the Strength of God guide us.

 May the Power of God preserve us.

 May the Wisdom of God instruct us.

 May the Hand of God protect us.

 May the Way of God direct us.

 May the Shield of God defend us.

 May the Angels of God guard us.

 Against the snares of the evil one.

 

May Christ be with us!

 May Christ be before us!

 May Christ be in us,

 Christ be over all!

 

May Thy Grace, Lord,

 Always be ours,

 This day, O Lord, and forevermore.
