―不安と試みのときには―

不安に駆られたときは、私たちはいつでも退いて祈るべきである。神の恵みと光の中に問題を明け渡し、それから、結果がどうあろうと、いささかの痛みをも覚えることなく、解決を図るのだ。悪しき者からの大いなる試みのときには、キリストをひとたび仰ぎ、ただ主のみ名を唱えるだけで、敵に打ち勝つには十分である。魂の確信と静謐（せいひつ：静かな落ち着き）の中で、そうなさるがいい。

On every occasion of uneasiness, we should retire to prayer, that we may give place to the grace and light of God and then form our resolutions, without being in any pain about what success they may have. In the greatest temptation, a single look ot Christ, and the barely pronouncing his name, suffices to overcome the wicked one, so to be done with confidence and calmness of spirit.
