あなたが人生で“上り坂”の時、友人たちは、あなたがどんな人物かを知りたがります。あなたが“下り坂”の時には、友人たちは何者か、あなたが知ることになります。人が順境の時には、多くの人が喜んで近づきたがるものです。でも、逆境の時でも あなたの人生にとどまる人には心を留めなさい。彼らは、自分の時間と、自分の生活の糧を、あなたの状況回復のために喜んで犠牲にする人々です。彼らこそ、あなたの“本当の友”です。本当の友は、この世の他の全ての人が歩み去っても、ひとり、あなたに“歩み寄る”のです。

When you are up in life, your friends get to know who you are. When you ae down in life, you get to know who your friends are. There will be many people who will be great to be around when times are easy. Instead take note of the people who remain in your life when times are hard. The friends that are willing to sacrifice their time & the resources they have in their life to help improve yours. Those are your real friends. A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.
