仕えよ。

 そのための代価を数うるなかれ。

【マタイ16:24】だれでもわたしについて来たいと思うなら、自分を捨て、自分の十字架を負い、そしてわたしについて来なさい。

 「自分を捨て、自分の十字架を負う」というのは、「代価を計算しないで、仕える」ということです。払うべき代価を数えることは、私たちが「キリストに従う」ことを、“喜び”ではなく“重荷”にしてしまいます。私たちが代価を数え続ける限り、十分に、心から主に仕えることはできないのです。

To serve and not to count the cost.

(Matthew 16:24) “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”

Denying oneself and taking up one's cross is to serve and not to count the cost. Counting the cost makes our following Christ a burden instead of a joy.We cannot serve much if we keep counting the cost.
